Automation Engineer

Job/Position Summary

Primary function is to support the RF design team with testing of filter products.  Additionally, this position requires development of filter assembly process using robotics.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design test fixtures and implement test procedures in production.
  • Develop filter assembly process using commercially available robotics.
  • Recommend and implement cost effective assembly process.


  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 2+ years of work experience either in automation/robotics fields.
  • Working knowledge of equipment such as network, spectrum analyzers is desirable.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Self-motivated, creative and  strong communication skills.
  • Experience with a mechanical design package (i.e.: AutoCad, SolidWorks).
  • Some knowledge/learning aptitude for LabVIEW (a systems engineering software for applications that require test, measurement, and control with rapid access to hardware and data insights).
  • Solutions focused, ability to take project from concept to production, design focused, can take ideas and turn them into profitable products.
  • Problem solver; vision to automate manual processes, increasing efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Able to use Network and Spectrum analyzers a plus.
  • Experience with CNC machines (milling/shaping/cutting/grinding) a plus.Knowledge of Robotics.
  • Ability to work independently and with the team of RF engineers to develop testing procedures.
