Quality Thermistor, Inc. (QTI), doing business as QTI Sensing Solutions, was acquired by CTS Corporation in 2019. QTI is a leading designer and manufacturer of high-quality temperature sensors serving original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) with mission-critical applications in the industrial, aerospace, defense and medical markets. QTI’s sensors are used to measure temperature in gas, liquid or solid mass depending on the application to ensure equipment performance and reliability. Based in Boise, Idaho with a location in Tecate, Mexico, QTI was founded in 1977 and has since established itself as a leader in temperature sensing technology as evidenced by the company’s extensive product portfolio and long-standing customer relationships.

QTI Sensing Solutions is looking for a new team member in our test lab to assist our Engineering and Production teams.  The Test Lab Technician’s focus is to assist us in achieving overall company objectives. Duties include but are not limited to; carrying out test routines, troubleshooting and repairing test equipment, data collection, and making process improvements.
Detailed description:
  • Set up test routines and ensure parts are loaded into appropriate fixtures
  • Hands-on testing of sensors
  • Assist with equipment troubleshooting
  • Develop PCB’s and wire harnesses to improve testing capabilities
  • Identify and correct deficiencies in test lab work flow
  • Write and/or update test lab documents
  • Minimum one-year technical degree (Electronics or Technical school) - preferred.
Skills & Experience
  • Ability to work independently or with a team to solve problems
  • Knowledge of electronics theory and fundamentals
  • Basic knowledge of printed circuit board design
  • Board level troubleshooting and repair
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Familiarity with Excel
  • Ability to troubleshoot test set-ups
  • Some skills with 3D CAD modeling is preferred
